Parental Involvement in Education and Collaboration with School

This paper presents the results of research which was aimed to examine connection between collaboration family and school, parental involvement in education. The sample included 198 parents senior primary school students South-Eastern Serbia. For purposes research, a Questionnaire designed consisted 30 items, grouped into two parts: first part deals with forms cooperation, second focuses on parents’ perception educational techniques. Chi-square test shows that most common form cooperation is parent meeting, mothers are more engaged than fathers when it comes meetings lectures for parents. Based assessments education techniques, understanding support technique dominates children’s education, while high level control had lower score. There were differences observed techniques analysed by t-test, where withdrawal from children, as well less shown mothers. Examination predictive properties independent variables tested using linear regression. obtained impact certain have conversations at initiative class teacher predictors creating desirable patterns behaviour granting children right their opinion. Gaining empirical insight mentioned relations benefits future practice efforts school.
